What Actually Happens in the Room
Class time is short and simple, matched to children ages two through five. A teacher tells a familiar story, creation, Noah and the ark, the Nativity, the Sermon on the Mount, the Good Samaritan, using pictures, props, and some acting-out to hold attention. A song usually follows, since a short tune about sharing or telling the truth tends to stick with a preschooler longer than the story itself does.
Each story is a way into one idea a child can use that day: waiting a turn, telling the truth, noticing when someone needs help. There's no scripture memorization and no religious instruction, just a craft or movement activity that gives kids something to make or do with the idea. It's the same character development preschool approach that shows up across the program, where values-based activities sit next to letters and numbers rather than replacing them.
