Bible Study
At Strong Roots Preschool, we initiate ways of exposing little people to Bible stories and Christian values in ways they can understand and enjoy. In our home-like, friendly setting, the children learn about God's love through age-appropriate activities and tender guidance as part of our Bible Study program.
Each lesson uses active storytelling of Bible stories, happy songs, and hands-on activities in making children understand these stories. Children will learn to share, be kind, and respect their peers while listening to new and old stories of Noah's Ark, Daniel in the Lions' Den, and the Good Shepherd. These timeless stories were made meaningful through puppet shows, felt boards, and simple drama activities by the teachers.
We emphasize positive messages that kids will be able to relate to in their daily lives: the children learn appreciation and concern for others through prayer and songs. The crafts and activities are lesson-based, like making a paper dove for peace or having snacks over, shared about friendship.
Social-emotional development is built into our Bible curriculum: the children will learn to be kind friends, be careful with their words, and help a friend in need. We recognize those times when children are sensitive, share with a friend, or comfort a sad peer.
Parents are regularly informed of our Bible lessons and given ideas on how to continue these conversations in the home. Strong Roots lays the foundation for faith in response to your child's curiosity and eagerness to learn.
